20 Books of Summer 2024
This year I will be joining in with a yearly Summer Reading Event starting on the 1st of June and ending on the 1st of September.
I found out about this interesting Summer Reading Event from a book blogger I follow, Jessica from The Bookworm Chronicles, who is taking part in this yearly event organised by Cathy from 746 Books .
I am very much looking forward to this reading challenge to help inspire me to read some of my new books and of course some of my old favourites! As this is my first time taking part I am planning on reading 10 books over the 3 months that this Event is running for. Anyone can take part and you can read as little as 10 books or you can go for the full 20 books of Summer, it’s up to you! I have enjoyed looking over all of my books that I would like to read and here are the “chosen ones”! 😊
Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson (an old favourite of mine!)
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (I have just bought a beautiful new copy of this book!)
Winterling by Sarah Prineas
Summerkin by Sarah Prineas
And Moonkind by Sarah Prineas (this series was a favourite of mine when I was younger and I am looking forward to re-reading them all!)
Enchanting Tales and Happily Ever Afters (a new book filled with old classics and tradition tales)
Adventures of a Young Naturalist by David Attenborough (I am looking forward to learning more about his life and travels.)
The Spell Horse by Pam Billinge (a new book I am interested in reading.)
The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim (a perfect classic for Summer!)
Mansfield Park by Jane Austen (I was unsure about picking this book to read for the event as it is a BIG book, but I think with the progress I am making already I think I can do it! 😁)
If you would like to take part in the 20 Books of Summer Event please feel free to check out 764 Books for all the details.
Happy reading! 🙂
Hi Isabella, your link went into my spam folder so apologies for not commenting sooner. Thanks so much for taking part and I hope you have a great summer of reading x
This is so inspiring... alas, all my study books are HUGE so I doubt I would get through two, let alone ten, this summer! However, you do make me want to grab a few easier reads to lounge about in the garden with (because your photos make it all look so appealing!). Happy reading.💕🙏🏻🌸
