About:
Go on a journey of a life time and join the many Gods like, Odin, Thor, Freya and Loki on their journeys across the nine realms that surround their magical kingdom, Asgard. Defeat dragons and giants along the way, journey to the other worlds by flight and always be on the watch out for the trickster, Loki, and his devilish pranks!
My thoughts:
Thank you to NetGalley and Arcturus Publishing for giving me a copy to read in return for my thoughts and feedback!
This book was a lovely collection of 15 Norse Myths for children and is paired with beautiful illustrated paintings to bring the characters and their friends to life! All the stories were interesting and delightful (with only the occasional details about killing and fighting, so fine for the younger audience), and I enjoyed learning more about Norse mythology. The different lands that are all connected with each other by the world tree (Yggdrasil), the afterlife for brave soldiers and fighters where they can celebrate their victories (Valhalla) and the end of the world (Ragnarok) that makes even the Gods shake in thought! 😊
