Ah! Always a common complaint that Austen wraps up her books quickly. Maybe she wants us to use our imagination to create what happens next. ❤️ Congratulations on getting in so much reading!

Thank you for your comment Melissa! 😊 I like how you said that Jane Austen maybe shortened her story endings so we could think about the characters and their lives more after finishing the book… I do always enjoy thinking up different endings for her characters! I have just finished reading Persuasion though and I so enjoyed it, I don’t know why it has taken me so long to read ♡

Hi Isabella Ann, well done on reading all of your 20 Books of Summer! I only managed to finish 5 of my 10 Books of Summer, but I did enjoy them all. I also found the ending of Mansfield Park a bit disappointing, however I adore Persuasion, it is possibly my favourite Austen novel. I hope you will enjoy Persuasion and Northanger Abbey more.

Blessings, Jessica 💌

Hello Jessica, Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 😊

Well done for reading five books this Summer, it is nice to read peacefully sometimes and some months are like that. I seem to be on a roll at the moment as I have so many new books waiting to be read that I just can't stop myself! 😂

I did enjoy Mansfield Park, but like you, I was not quite satisfied with the ending. I am very much looking forward to reading both Persuasion and Northanger Abbey though (Persuasion is next on my list). ♡

Well done for reading so many books this summer! I really enjoyed The Enchanted April and loved the Italian setting. Journey to the River Sea sounds great - I've read other Eva Ibbotson books but not that one yet.
