Hi Isabella Ann, looks like a good list of books. I have read A Room with a View, Anne of Green Gables, and The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. As usual, I have chosen to take part at the lower level of 10 Books of Summer. Happy summer reading! ☀

Blessings, Jessica 💌

Thank you for commenting Jessica! I used to love The Wolves of Willoughby Chase series when I was younger, but I haven’t read it in years so I am looking forward to re-reading it again. Anne of Green Gables too! 🥰 Good luck with your 10 books of Summer! I might only do 10 as well in the end as I do not have as much free time as I did last year. 😥

Happy reading to you! 🙏✨️ Isabella Ann

I really love this idea! I have a list of books I want to read in general (and often categorise them into seasons), so I do have a few on my list I’d love to read in the summer. I like the challenge! It’s taken me a long time to get through books recently, so I think this will help me focus more on reading again and less on scrolling 🤍

Thank you for your comment Jenna! 😊 It is certainly a lovely challenge to inspire you to read a little more over the summer months. It really helped me last year fall back in love with reading! Even though I have always read, it made me enjoy reading a little more somehow. I look forward to hearing about the books you will be reading for this challenge! 📚✨

I love this so much, Isabella Ann! I've never heard of this challenge but last week, I had actually decided to do this for June through August, with 10 books instead of twenty because I've got a lot planned for this summer. This definitely motivates me to finally write down my list of books though.

Oh amazing! I discovered this challenge last year and it really helped me fall back in love with reading more books. It will be so nice to hear about the books you will read/pick and share our progress throughout the challenge. 🥰 What are a couple of books you are most excited to add to your list?

I look forward to seeing the list of your 10 Books of Summer Nicole! 📚

My list mostly comprises of books I've put off or books that will stretch me mentally, so "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis (started it twice, almost finished once, but then something happened and I had to set it aside), "Answers to Tough Questions" by Josh McDowell, and Andersen's Fairy Tales are a couple. 🥰 I can let you know my whole list once I write it down if you'll like. 😊

It sounds like you have some lovely books on your list to read over the Summer Nicole! I haven't read any books by C.S. Lewis yet, though I am hoping to read "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" soon. What is "The Screwtape Letters" about? Funnily enough, I am also reading a selection of Anderson's fairy tales at the moment too! I am just about to start The Little Mermaid, as it is one of my all time favourites. 🧜🏻‍♀️✨

Yes please! I would love to see your completed list once you have put it together, I always love to hear what other people are reading. 🥰

Oh yes, you should definitely read "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe"!

"The Screwtape Letters" is a Christian apologetic book about one demon mentoring another demon on how to trip up humans. It is very unique and easily portrays spiritual warfare in a comprehensive and mind-blowing way. It's an epistolary novel so that adds to its uniqueness even more.

You're actually the one who inspired me to place Andersen's Fairy Tales on my 20 Books of Summer 2025 list! I'll be publishing a post about that challenge next Wednesday. I'm excited to be sharing my list with you then. :)

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is one of those books which I have been meaning to read for years! I used to love watching the BBC 1988 TV series, (I still do!), and I believe I have listened to the audiobook when I was younger... 🤔I also like the sound of C.S. Lewis's "The Screwtape Letters", it would be a very interesting read!

Aw, so glad I was able to inspire! 😊I hope you enjoy his fairy tales, some of them are a bit odd at times, but I believe all fairy tales can be like that. 😅I actually read collection of fairy tales last year for my 20 Books of Summer, and the original "Sleeping Beauty" is definitely not like the sweet, cosy Disney movie I know! The original was so dark and scary... 😮

I look forward to reading your book list on Wednesday! Have a lovely week, Isabella Ann 📚💕

I agree. The original stories are 🤯😭. They're so different from the sweet Disney movies that we know. 😱 (I listened to the original stories when I was about eight. Very confusing and traumatizing. 🤣)
