20 Books of Summer 2025
The 20 Books of Summer is back! Join me while I take on a yearly reading challenge, running from the 1st of June until August the 31st. ❤️
Hello, hello!
It’s that time of year again, it’s time for the 20 Books of Summer!
Last year, the founder and host of 20 Books of Summer (Cathy over at 746 Books), decided after 10 years of hosting to pass the mantle over to a new host/hosts. This year Emma from Words and Peace and Annabel from AnnaBookbel will be hosting and I am so glad that this challenge will be continuing! I am looking forward to having a lovely Summer filled with wonderful, new books.
A bit about the challenge… ❤️
20 Books of Summer is a lovely way to encourage and help you read some of those books that have been sitting on your shelf for to long, or help you get through some titles on your TBR list.
All you have to do is create a list of 10, 15 or 20 books you would like to read over the Summer and get ready to read your chosen few for the next three months.
You can swap or add any books you want throughout the challenge, there are no rules!
And if you don’t finish your list at the end of it, no problem! 😊
Last year I picked a list of 10 books and surprised myself by reading 18! This year I will be aiming for 15, as I will be working over the summer and I won’t have as much spare time as I did last year. Let’s see how many I will be able to read!

The next five books I will leave blank, as I do love to peruse the library and pick up new books! 😊
As I am taking part in a couple of challenges this year (Historical Fiction Challenge 2025 & The Classics Club List), I will be adding some titles from these challenges to my 15 Books of Summer! ✨
Feel free to ❤️ this post or leave a comment below, I always love to hear your thoughts!
Happy reading,
Isabella Ann x
Hi Isabella Ann, looks like a good list of books. I have read A Room with a View, Anne of Green Gables, and The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. As usual, I have chosen to take part at the lower level of 10 Books of Summer. Happy summer reading! ☀
Blessings, Jessica 💌
I really love this idea! I have a list of books I want to read in general (and often categorise them into seasons), so I do have a few on my list I’d love to read in the summer. I like the challenge! It’s taken me a long time to get through books recently, so I think this will help me focus more on reading again and less on scrolling 🤍
