My Monthly Round Up of March
A cosy post filled with spring's wonders, what I have been doing, books I have been reading, and the wildlife I have seen, plus a little dash of poetry. ☕️📚❤️
Favourite quote of March…
“I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it.”
-William Shakespeare
Hello, hello and welcome to my little monthly round up! March has soared past me this month I feel. One day I am celebrating Pancake Day at the beginning of the month and then suddenly the Spring Equinox has been and gone?! Even though this month has felt shorter, I have still been able to enjoy it and create new memories. I hope you have all had a lovely March too and please feel free to comment down below what you have been up to or reading this month, as I always love to hear from you. 😊
At the start of the month I was in Southern France enjoying a couple of weeks by the sea walking on the golden, sandy beach and letting the refreshing—but cold—water wash over my feet. I also enjoyed a lovely hack up in the beautiful countryside near the Pyrenees! It was so lovely to be around horses again and enjoy their peaceful and calming presence. 🐴
I so love being by the sea and watching the waves change hour to hour outside my window, it is so pleasant and tranquil to watch. ❤️
I am now currently back in the UK and even though the last couple of weeks have been very busy, I have enjoyed seeing my friends and family and cruising along on my family’s narrowboat on England’s Waterways. I have loved sitting on the roof again in the sun (bundled up in jumpers and scarfs of course!), binoculars at the ready and watching for the wildlife that live by or on the canal. But it is not always easy and relaxing, it also comes with hard work and some worries! Like completing 27 locks yesterday on route and having to deal with engine problems. Ahh, the joys of life! 😂
This month I have also enjoyed re-visiting some of my favourite Disney Classics from childhood. So far I have watched… “Cinderella” (1950), “Lady and the Tramp” (1955), “Peter Pan” (1953), “Alice in Wonderland” (1951) and “Bambi” (1942). Pinocchio and Snow White are next on my list to re-watch. You just can’t beat the old Disney classics for a calming, magical movie night!
What is your favourite Disney Classic? ❤️
If you had to use emojis to show what your month has been like, what would they be? Mine are: 🌼📚☕️🐴🏔🦢🍬

Five things I have loved doing this month… ✨
Soaking up the sun, looking out for birds and flowers while cruising on our narrowboat.
Re-watching some of my favourite movies: “Ever After” (1998), “Walk the Line” (2005), and discovering some new favourites like “Far from the Madding Crowd” (2015), “Dead Poets Society” (1989) and “Pride and Prejudice” (1940). 🍿
Sitting on the locks waiting for them to fill and swinging my feet… it just makes me happy! 😂
Going to my local library and coming out laden with books!! 😆
Listening to my fave songs this month: “Dedicated to the One I Love” by The Mamas & the Papas, “Always on My Mind” by Elvis, “Shape Of My Heart” by Sting, “Be My Baby” by The Ronettes and “Somebody to Love” by Queen.

all about tea and books! I will be adding some of these books to my TBR and maybe I need to create a “Tea’s to Drink” list. ☕️📚
I love this round up so much Isabella! Thank you for sharing my post, it means the world 🤍 I love that you’re revisiting old Disney films, it’s something I keep saying I should do!
Hello Isabella Ann, sounds like you had a lovely March. How amazing that your family have a narrow boat. We have lots of canals where I live and a couple of years ago I had a wonderful holiday with friends on the Worcester canal, where we tackled the legendary Tardebigge locks! In March, I watched season one of Yellowstone; I enjoyed a comforting re-watch of Pride & Prejudice (2005); and I loved reading the classic novel, Rilla of Ingleside by L.M. Montgomery. If I have to some my March up it would be: 🌼💃🤒🎶🤒🎮📖
